I’ll repeat this message time and time again on this blog and in everything I write for now on:

People and planet first.

There will never be peace in the Middle East until we realize that abstract ideas such as religion, race, and nationalism mean nothing compared to the well being of real, actual people.

If the thinking is “My life will only be better once those peope are gone,” then what right do you have to happiness? If your sense of righteousness is only sated by purging others who don’t share everything you believe in, how right can you really be?

Accepting your ancestors’ views without question isn’t a good reason to further perpetuate hatred or violence either. If they knew what was best, wouldn’t all conflict be solved by now?
