Sorry it’s been a little while since my last post. Been a bit busy lately, but here’s a little something to tide you over until we can get some more posts from new contributors and me!

Not sure what this is all about, but this is pretty much how I operate as a martial artist and a writer. Needless to say, I could use some help!

I recently completed my first interactive title for iPad (An Introduction to Shohei-Ryu Karate at Gracie Farmington Valley) and, while I look to move this book past “beta” stage, I can’t help but hop onto a new project. I just read this month’s issue of The Writer and was inspired. An article by children’s author Stacey Williams-Ng got me thinking. She created her newest book, Astrojammies, for iPad and it’s done remarkably well. I know how iBooks author works. I have a few readers, right? And I have an old manuscript that might work pretty well in the new format–the novel that’s also the namesake for this blog!

So here’s the deal. If you’d like to help a brother out, click the link below to download a free copy of my novel Good Circuits. I’ve gotten some quality feedback from some great readers, but I’d definitely like some more help. I am most focused, above all, to tell the story of three young people trying to navigate the clashes between idealism and reality as they transition from college to the “real world”. How can we make the characters more interesting and the story more compelling? I have a lot of ideas, and I’ll share them as I begin the editing and revision process. And of course there’s more to this than just writing a great story. In what ways can a novel be adapted to the interactive storytelling medium enabled by the iPad? I’d love some help transitioning this piece from literary fiction to something that more closely resembles the founding principles of this awesome blog you’re enjoying right now!
